Garry Swift, AV and VC Manager from The University of Liverpool contacted AVPlates to design a solution to avoid the disappearance of fly leads from their wall plates.
The University was experiencing considerable downtime, when technicians were replacing cables that had been taken, even if accidentally.
After several designs, the ClipiT evolved to be a retrofit solution manufactured in both UK 1 and 2 gang versions.
The removable ClipiT bar is secured with M3 screws allowing cables to be replaced if failure occurred, whilst securing the cables in place, avoiding their disappearance.
As time progressed it became apparent that this was not just a solution for Audio Visual applications, but also general electrical sockets as well.
It is intended that The University of Liverpool will introduce ClipiT on future installations which will be supplied and installed via NWUPC Framework Integrators.
